Are You Thankful for Your Employees?

When one of your employees does something good for the company, be quick to say thank you and let that person know that he or she is a valuable member of the organization. Sincere appreciation can have a remarkable effect. It can strengthen a person’s character and build loyalty. Moreover, when we are generous with praise and encouragement, employees will be much more willing to receive the occasional correction that may be necessary.

If you want to develop your employees well, think about what you appreciate most about each person and tell them. One of the key principles of motivation is that when you invest encouragement in someone, you often receive far more in return. By showing your employees that you appreciate them, you will help them approach their work with a more positive attitude, increase productivity, and make your workplace a better place to work.

“He fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks. Now he was a Samaritan.” (Luke 17:16, ESV)

“The crucible is for silver, and the furnace is for gold, and a man is tested by his praise.” (Proverbs 27:21, ESV)
