Are you showing appreciation to your suppliers and encouraging them?

메질꾼은 목공이 사용할 쇠를 만들기 위해 열심히 일한다. 그러나 항상 모든 칭찬을 드는 사람은 바로 장인이다. 그러나 메질꾼이 열심히 일해 주지 않는다면 쇠에 불순물이 남게 되어 쇠의 강도가 약해지고 결과적으로 그 장인의 일을 망치게 될 것이다. 종종 일의 성패가 나의 노력보다는 다름 사람의 노력에 의해 좌우되는 경우가 있다. 예를 들면, 식당의 웨이터는 요리사가 요리를 엉터리로 만들면 손님에게 좋은 음식을 서빙할 수가 없다. 만약 우리가 지혜로운 사람이라면 우리에게 자재나 제품을 공급해 주어서 사업의 성공을 뒷받침해 주는 사람들을 칭찬하고 격려할 것이다. 납품 업자들의 노고에 당신의 진심 어린 관심과 감사를 보여주라. 당신이 그렇게 한다면 납품 업자들은 당신에게 최상의 품질로 보답할 것이다. 

A metalworker labors diligently to produce the iron that a craftsman will use. Yet it is usually the craftsman who receives all the praise. However, if the metalworker does not do his job well, impurities will remain in the metal, weakening its strength and ultimately ruining the craftsman’s work. Often, the success or failure of a task depends not so much on our own efforts as on the efforts of others. For example, a restaurant waiter cannot serve good food to customers if the chef prepares the dishes poorly. If we are wise, we will praise and encourage those who supply the materials and products that support the success of our work. Show sincere interest and gratitude for the hard work of your suppliers. If you do so, they will repay you with the highest quality.
