Do you encourage teamwork?

북적대는 식당에 친구와 함께 가서 자리를 잡고 앉은 후, 얼마 지나지 않아 매니저가 물을 가져다 주며 음료 주문을 받았다. 몇 분 후 한 웨이터가 음료를 가져다 주며 음식 주문을 받았다. 음식이 도착했을 때는 다른 웨이터가 따끈한 상태로 점심을 가져온 것이다.   식사를 마친 후에 매니저에게 가서 우리가 본 팀워크에 대해 칭찬했다. 그는 고마워하며 어떻게 직원들에게 서로를 돕도록 훈련시키는지 설명해 주었다. “만일 우리가 도움이 필요한 곳을 보면, 나서서 돕는다 만일 주문이 도착했는데 담당 웨이터가 불가능하다면, 다른 웨이터가 협력해서 그 식사를 재빠르게 가져다 준다.” 팀워크가 없이는 어떤 비즈니스도 성공할 수 없다. 그러므로 고객을 섬기기 위해 서로가 돕는 태도를 가지도록 직원들을 교육하라. 당신 스스로를 모델화해서 모두가 그것을 따르도록 가르치라. 잘 안 되는 팀은 계속 교정하면서, 한편으로 훌륭한 팀워크의 사례는 공개적으로 상을 주라. 직원들에게 팀과 회사 내에서의 팀워크를 장려하다보면 회사는 성공을 맛보게 될 것이다.

After taking a seat with a friend at a crowded restaurant, the manager brought him water and took his order for a drink shortly after. A few minutes later, one waiter brought the drink and took the food order. When the food arrived, another waiter brought the warm lunch. After finishing the meal, he went to the manager and complimented the team work we saw. He was grateful and explained how he trains the staff to help each other. "If an order arrives where it is in need, another waiter will work together to bring the meal quickly." No business can succeed without teamwork. So to serve your customers, train your staff to have an attitude of helping each other. Model yourself and teach everyone to follow suit. Keep correcting teams that don't work well, while publicly awarding good examples of teamwork. Encourage your employees to have teamwork both within the team and within the company, and the company will experience success.
