Are You Fully Trusted by Your Employer?

웹스터 사전(Webster’s Dictionary)은 “faithful”을 다음과 같은 정의한다. “변함없는 관심과 충성/ 충성/ 약속을 단호히 지키는 것 혹은 의무의 준수/ 양심적인” 당신의 업무 수행 모습이 이렇게 묘사될 수 있는가? 매번 일을 끝까지 잘 마치는가? 당신은 믿을 만한 사람인가? 직장 상사와 조직에 충성을 보여주는가? 성실함이 입증되면 고용주와의 신뢰가 쌓인다. 그리고 그 신뢰는 더 큰 책임감과 권위를 가져온다.  아직 스스로 성실함을 입증시키지 못했다면, 옳은 일을 시작하는데 너무 늦은 것은 아니다.  지금 충성심, 한결같음, 근면, 그리고 인내 등의 성품을 발전시켜 보라.  매일 결정을 내릴 때마다 이러한 기준을 적용해 보고, 업무 평가 또한 이 기준에 비추어 평가해 보라. 그렇게 하다 보면 성실함으로 명성을 세울 수 있게 될 것이다.

Do you consistently see tasks through to completion?
Are you someone others can rely on?
Do you demonstrate loyalty to your supervisor and your organization?

When faithfulness is proven, trust with an employer is built. And that trust leads to greater responsibility and authority. Even if you have not yet proven your faithfulness, it is never too late to begin doing what is right.

Start cultivating the character traits of loyalty, consistency, diligence, and perseverance. Apply these standards to your daily decisions, and measure your job performance against them as well. Over time, you will establish a reputation for faithfulness.
